Bidding on an Item

Once you've found an item you like, bidding is simple. When viewing an item’s listing, you can place a bid by clicking the orange “Place Bid” button on the right-hand side.

Additionally, some auctions will have a "Buy It Now" option. With this feature, you can buy the item immediately without having to bid. You will then be asked to confirm your intention to buy out the item before the order is confirmed. Buy It Now's cannot be retracted after they have been submitted.

To place your bid, simply enter the amount you wish to bid (Example, 50.00). Currency symbols are not required as the bid will be placed in the auction’s currency.

Once completed, you will be asked to review your bid. You will also be able to view vital item details, such as the shipping conditions, BEFORE confirming your bid. To submit your bid, simply press the “Place Bid” button.

If your bid is high enough to take the lead in an auction, a confirmation message will be displayed. However, if your bid has not taken the lead, due to a higher bid or not meeting the reserve price, you will be invited to make a further bid.

You will also need to choose your FFL dealer for shipping. Remember, once you submit a bid you are agreeing to purchase the item in the event that you end up as the highest bidder. You will not be able to retract your bid once it is submitted.

You can also place a proxy bid. Proxy bidding allows you to place your “Highest Bid." Should you win the auction, you will only pay the lowest required bid. For example, if the current bid on an auction is $500.00 dollars, you can place a proxy bid of $2,000 dollars. Should you remain the only bidder, you will pay $500.00 dollars for the auction. However, should the item receive other bids the site will automatically re-bid for you (up to $2,000 dollars in this scenario), to ensure you remain in the lead.
